who is bam

"BAM stands for "By Any Means" — but it's more than a name. It's a mission, a movement, and the name is carried by a man on fire with purpose.."

My name is Joshua Hebert "AKA BAM".  I was born and raised in Lafayette, LA.

I was born into a very broken home and family dynamic. Like anyone, no matter what background you come from, I’ve made good choices and bad ones. But unlike most, I was never taught who God was or what it meant to walk a spiritual path.

Due to this as well as no guidance, at just 19, I landed myself in prison. From there, I experienced multiple years in and out of different jails, prisons, institutions, rehabilitation programs, etc.

Through all of this, I’ve endured deep pain, trauma, betrayal, addiction, poverty, and adversity—overcoming obstacle after obstacle with nothing but grit, grace, and a flicker of faith I didn’t even know I had.

Yet somehow, the great “I AM” found me.

And when I answered, it changed everything.

What followed was a long, raw, sacred journey of rediscovering who I truly am—and shedding who I never was. This unraveling of ego, pain, and generational trauma and lies has not been easy.

It led me through darkness, heartbreak, and wilderness seasons. But I’ve learned this: when you pray, have even the tiniest bit of faith even if you don't know what to believe, and when you sit in the silence and  you listen… transformation becomes inevitable.

Today, I stand as a father.

A lightbearer.

A vessel.

A voice.

An entrepreneur.

An advisor.

A living testimony that healing is real and redemption is possible.

And I challenge you today to declare with me:
I AM becoming 1% better every day.”

Years ago, I never thought this life was possible. But the moment I tuned into God’s voice, I realized: the impossible was an illusion.

My visions are now becoming reality before my eyes—and through BAMCO, I’ve found my purpose in service. Because as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

So now, every day, I wake up and ask myself, What Would Jesus Do?”

Then I follow that light.

BAMCO is more than a brand.

It’s my mission.

It’s a movement.

It’s a mansion of compassion—built brick by brick from the pieces of a life once shattered.
